
It was that release that I saw first and I’m grateful for that, but it has some translation and subtitle formatting choices that bothered me, and the video quality was pretty much what you’d expect for a video rip. The result was session “XX”, Yoseatsume Blues, which has only survived and been circulated thanks to Japanese fans who taped it’s singular broadcast.Ī fansub group called Tsunami translated it some years ago, and that video eventually made its way onto youtube for a while (albeit partially geo-blocked). which was a hot issue in Japan at the time- the TV station set to air the show told the creators they’d only put out a curated pick of 13 episodes*, and as if they were trying to antagonise the staff, pushed them to make something to wrap the series up when the time came, well before they were ready to do so. Due to Bebop’s content- specifically violent imagery.
